Question: Why are there no more NHL Hockey Sticker books?

Growing up I remember getting a hockey sticker book each year - O Pee Chee or Pannini...

Now that my son is getting interested in hockey, I'd love to start buying them again.

Why aren't they selling these any more?!?!

They still make hockey cards - which have fallen out of favour in the last decade or so. Surely an inexpensive sticker book would do well enough with young people (and parents who grew up with them) to warrant making them.

Answer: It's a couple of things
- the NHLPA made a decision a few years ago to grant exclusive licenses to fewer companies for more money.......Topps/O-Pee-Chee and Pannini weren't willing to up the ante
- the market moved away from stickers towards cards in the early to mid 90s (stickers once used were no longer a wanted commodity) as an investment (since failed)
