Look at the Philadelphia Flyers 2010 Schedule. Now Look at the last game in February is the 13th and there Next game after that is the 2nd of march. Is this correct and why did the NHL give the flyers like 2 weeks off. I'm a huge Flyers fan and i really don't like the schedule this year. I do like the Winter classic choice though. why 2 weeks??????

And also the Olympics dont control the NHL just like in the 08 summmer olympics the MLB didnt take 2 weeks off to get the USA a gold medal in baseball.

Answer: Yeah it sucks, but Instead of an All-Star Break they take 2 weeks for the Olympics, personally i don't see why they don't send the players that would participate in the World Juniors, the NHLers pretty much own the non NHLers anyway, it almost doesn't seem right sending players at the highest level you can play hockey, not many good hockey players can be found in some countries, and most of the NHL guys would play for canada... so who has the edge? but that's just my opinion... but thats the reason for the 17 day break.
