Question: Tips for my poem please? ?

I have to write an extended metaphor poem by tomorrow, and I know this is not very good, but if you have any tips, they'd be greatly appreciated.

Security is a game of solitaire.
1, 2, 3…King of Spades takes his place
In the empty space.
1, 2, 3…Seven of hearts serenades
The six of spades.
1, 2, 3…black on red, aces
To the top. If I just look
At the cards, it all makes sense. 2 of diamonds
Goes up onto her ace. 3, 4, 5 in a row!
Would you like to play?
I’m sorry, only one player
Will work…there’s a deck over there,
Do have fun! 10, Jack, Queen, victory
Getting closer. Deck dwindles
Until but one remains. King of Diamonds
Is placed on his ace. Victory! Flow of
Earned satisfaction fills my soul.
Comfort complete but for a thought….

Answer: What's the problem? The metaphor works wonderfully if you're trying to say that security is transitory . . . what now? What comes after security? Can it really last?
If you just look at the cards (your life?) it all makes sense . . . but since when do we really have time to look at all the cards? We play the hand we're dealt, and the thing about solitaire is that you deal your own hand.
Is only one player security? For solitaire, it's the rule, but for life, I don't know. Are you saying that you can only really trust yourself?

Hmmmmm, I seem to have both agreed and disagreed . . . but as long as I've given you something to think about . . .

Question: What are your opinions on the Ducks/Wings game tonight?

I think it's a good game. That was a bad call against the Ducks but the Wings benifited from it so i'm not complaining.. LOL GO WINGS!!!!!!!!!!!
Unfortunatly that was a bad call against the ducks but it happens alot. It has happened to the Wings alot in the last series. So I guess you just have to go with the bad calls and deal with it. I was sour at the bad calls against the Wings during the last round but I realized after watching the Sabers & Sen. play it happens alot. Not just to the Wings or the Ducks, to everyone.

Answer: I felt very good with my Ducks after the first period, but not so good coming out of the second. At least Selanne's finally doing something... If we win, it proves we have the depth to play without Pronger!
