Question: Did I fracture my finger????????!!!!!!!!?
I was standing on ice, holding a Hockey Puck, and I fell. My finger smashed against the ice pretty hard, and then the puck came down on it even harder. It hurts now, and it was two days ago, I can barely bend it, and I have my two fingers taped together. Please help me with this, and also, what should I do if it is broken/fractured.

Question: HOCKEY PLAYERS QUESTION!?
Hey, this question is probably most likely to be answered by those who play or played hockey.
When playing hockey, near the middle or end of the 2nd Period and beyond, into the 3rd especially, the ice gets really snowy and it's difficult for me and a lot of others to stick handle, and get better control on the puck and even get a better shot. There is only one "flood" that the zamboni does, which is at the very beginning of the game. What can I do to make it easier with the snowy ice?
Can I put water on my taped blade or is that a bad thing because the water could freeze?
Anything else?

Also, would wax help? I don't really understand the point of wax. If it does help, would it be better if I kinda melted it onto my tape blade (already taped) with a lighter. I've seen trainers do this before.
Answer: Definitely use wax. If you make it smooth enough it removes a lot of friction from the snow. try to tape your blade as smooth as you can too.
Also, don't put too much pressure on your blade when it's on the ice. you can get away with it a little bit when it's smooth, but as there are more grooves you may even want to leave a hair of clearance between the blade and ice. just don't miss the puck!
