Question: glass or ceramic, no spill, no break TRAVEL MUG?
We all know that plastic leaches weird stuff into hot drinks, so I don't use plastic travel mugs. I currently use stainless steel, but I would rather have a travel mug that is lined with GLASS or CERAMIC. It can have a metal or plastic top, and exterior, but I would like the inside to be glass or ceramic because they do not leach stuff into a hot drink. Some large thermoses have glass in the lining (Aladdin brand in particular, I think), but they are large and unwieldy and require a separate cup to pour the drink into. I can't find anything that has glass inside in a travel mug form. ?
Answer: The reason you will not find these types of mugs is because all it takes is a solid bump and the glass / ceramic can shatter... If there's drink in it at the time you may not even hear it as the liquid absorbs the noise, plus road noise and all that can drown it out, it is then a dangerous combination waiting for a thirsty throat.
Ok, you might find one, they used to make them years ago but they stopped because of the danger of breakage, I personally wouldn't dare use one out of fear I might gulp down a healthy swallow of shards.
I don't particularly care for plastic because it, too, can crack and then leak liquid all over the car, but I have never in 8-10 years had any problems related to supposed weird stuff leaching, but I myself prefer stainless steel because it's easier to clean and it lasts a lot longer.
Exxon tends to sell 24 ounce steel mugs, it's where I got mine, looks classy, keeps drinks hot or cold, fits in most cup containers, works great, plastic lid.

Question: Latte art help?
I'm trying to make a latte art early this morning. I used a plastic measuring cup, because I don't have a stainless steel frothing pitcher; and I steamed the milk until it's piping hot with a little froth in it. Tap the milk cup, and then swirl it around enough. Turns out that the milk is still too thin to create a leaf or an apple. What did I do wrong? Is there a way to pour it on a travel coffee mug?
Accoring to chingona1027's response, I wasn't going to fill it all the way up anyway, if using a travel mug.
My reference is what other techiques are there to make designs, and how much froth should I use?Answer: You probably need a thermometer to get the milk hot enough, but not too hot. A stainless steel pot will help too! You've been either getting it too piping or not enough piping hot! You're local supermarket has thermometers. Your local coffee house will be best to tell you the correct temps!
Good luck!.
