Question: What hockey Jersey Size should i go for?
Ok, so i bought a CCM jersey a year or so back, and i opted for a medium just because i didn't want it to be too tight. When i received it, i can truely say that it swamped me. I'm only a 5ft 5,10st (140lb) guy. American sizings are different to here in the UK, but couldn't believe how big it was (do realise that they make them big for padding underneight). Anyways hopefully i'll get this one autographed one day as it's unwearable. Needless to say i want one that i am able to wear out on the town, so what size should i go? I'm half thinking of going down to youth sizes to be safe, and to be honest, for the sake of denting my pride a bit, i'd be more than happy to pay junior prices!!!
My problem is that it's impossible for me to try different sizes on as nowhere sells NHL stuff over here, so need to be exact before ordering (not made of money).
Any info would be cool (especially if there are any guys the same build as me with a jersey that fits). Many thanks & GO PENS!!!Answer: Generally, North Americans likes to wear jerseys casually and on the ice with a loose fit...
Maybe you should try an Adult small. Junior sizes you may notice a tighter width around the waist and shoulders, although it may fit you by length...
If you buy used from ebay, you may notice the sizes for jerseys made in the 80's and early 90's are much tighter then the ones made today. Maybe that can be an option for you. A large jersey from the 80's will seem like a modern medium or sometimes even a small.
Also, if you want to avoid customs do not buy from a online store. If the return address is a retail store, marking the item as a gift will not help you avoid customs.
I collect NHL jerseys, have over 100 and buy from ebay regularly...

Question: I want to get my niece a jersey. Will this fit?
Putting your allegences aside please help ..
My niece is 7 (does not play hockey yet, but she gets some skating in once in awhile) and I want to get her a Habs jersey for Christmas.
Obviously a toddler size won't fit, but what is the age range on a youth L/XL in the old CCM line?
I know RBK is "hip" and all, but for me, as an old school guy I'd rather see her in a CCM or even Koho.
The size mentioned will likely be too big for her now - but how much longer can she expect to wear it?
She's taller than most girls in her classes when in Mexico (my brother's 5'10) but ok cool, so she can still get a couple years out of it. Thanks for your insight guys.GO HABS GO and yes Price has been playing great so far.
Better for it to be too big than too small though, I want her to enjoy the gift. The next size down looks to be too small on her.
I will get her a youth L / XL if she still likes hockey when she outgrows it I can get her a new one then.Answer: I had a youth's L LaFontaine jersey and I think I wore it till I was around 10 when it began to get noticeably smaller and couldn't wear it anymore. (Damn, I miss that jersey). Anyway I guess it would depend on how big a girl she is. The old CCM are obviously baggier and size a bit larger. its all preference really. the bigger you get it the longer she will be able to wear it. if you got her an adult small it will be very big on her but she could easily be set for life with that one jersey

Question: What is the widest Youth Goalie skate available? prefer CCM (shoe is a size 3)?
- have 1.5, but it doesn't say D, E or anything. The tongue has a small white tag sewn onto it says E/B. I have also seen on the web that Graf size 2, is the same as a CCM other brands are Reebok & Nike-Bauer size 1.5.. Can anyone help on this? I thought that the CCM's that I have would break in...there must be a defect on the right skate because it literally puts my toes on top of each other. Need wide skates. Thanks for any information that you can provide!
Answer: Your difficulties might have to do with whether you have a high volume or a low volume foot. Don't lock yourself into having to have a certain brand of skate. It may not fit you.
My youngest daughter has a high volume foot. She wears junior size & Eastons are all she can wear.
Go somewhere that offers many different brands of skates, experienced fitters and try on until you find the correct skate for your foot type.
